Strategically located mid-way between Bristol and Knoxville, Morristown, Tennessee’s Disc Golf Capital™ is the home of the annual Tennessee State Disc Golf Championships, a PDGA US Nationals qualifying tournament.

Cherokee Lake


A popular recreation destination, Cherokee Lake covers 30,300 acres, is 59 miles long and has 463 miles of shoreline. Along its shoreline are public access areas, county and municipal parks, commercial boat docks and resorts, a state park and a state wildlife management area. Cherokee hosted the season-opening Bassmaster Elite Series in 2017

Morristown BMX Raceway at Frank Lorino Park


This course has been the cornerstone of bicycle racing in East Tennessee for over 30 years and hosts many USA BMX sanctioned events.

Panther Creek State Park


Panther Creek State Park is a 1,435 acre park located on the Cherokee Lake in the historic Holston River Valley, and is the home of the Panther Creek Xterra Triathlon. The park has 17 different hiking trails covering more than 30 miles of terrain at all levels of difficulty. Hikers can enjoy magnificent views of Cherokee Lake and the Cumberland Mountains from Point Lookout Trail reaching 1,460 feet above sea level. There are also more than 15 miles of mountain biking trails that range from easy to difficult as well as seven miles of horseback riding trails.

Walters State Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center


The 98,000 square-foot pavilion includes a 300′ x 150′ show ring, seating for 3,900 and the Jefferson Federal Conference Room. The arena floor surface is versatile. Depending on the type of event, the floor can include loose dirt, hard-packed dirt, concrete, or carpet. Featuring a total of 408 horse stalls and a brand new 22,000 square-foot covered warm-up ring, the adjacent Ray and Barbara Bible Equestrian Complex is host to some the region’s premier horse and livestock events. The Expo Center includes lighted parking areas for up to 1800 cars and a 32 space RV center with electric and water hookups.
